Thursday 23rd of July
Today we programmed our temperature and pressure sensors so as they would measure together. We hooked it up with a radio and satelite kindly given to us by UL. We could here the program happening through a radio which was pretty cool. We were seeing if we could pick up the sensors a kilometer away with the satellite. The computer was unable to read the signal so the team spent the rest of the day working on the scanner.

Progress
Last week we assembled the components of the cansat. We have ordered our Co2 sensor and are awaiting the arrival of the parachute material. Each group has completed a literary review containing adequate research in all fields. We are now in the process of finalising our design document and hope to have it completed by the end of the day. We've contacted local and national news stations, radio programs and newspapers. We also appeared in last weeks edittion of our local newspaper. We have also made contact with our local university and are recieving excellent advice and help from the staff. We are hoping to meet with John Nelson, a Senior Lecturer in the Computer Engineering department from the 14th to the 18th of June. Over the next week we are going to carry out some of the cansat experiments and testing out our ideas.
